I got all the equipment out ready and the products I need to complete the make up look, by going by her design - she has listed the products on there. On the design there is a lace print on the fore head going down to the cheek bones, so my partner supplied me with the lace for me to print it on to her face.
I started by cleansing the skin removing all the make up and dirt from the skin and toning after wards.
I applied the Illamasqua matt primer all over the skin to prepare the skin for the make up.
I looked at my partners design and started off by using a base on the skin with the foundation that matched her skin tone, I blended it in all over her face and neck giving a perfect base to the look.
Once that was completed I used the Illamasqua loose powder all over the skin to set the base.
On the design she has a red fore head which blends in down the fore head and down the sides of the face, it also goes down on to the cheek bones like a contour.
I used the red out of the Kryolan blush palette and I blended it in all over the fore head, down the sides of the face and on to the cheek bones. I asked my partner how dense she wanted the colour to be, if she wanted it really red or just a soft glow of it and she wanted it quite intense.
I blended the red over the cheek bones too which added structure to the face also.
Over the red, I used a flat brush to stipple the white out of the Supra colour palette to create the lace look on the fore head, also going down the temples and stopping on the cheek bones. On the fore head it came down a little bit more to a point in the middle which had a really nice effect.
Using the same brush I used the white to high light the cheek bones, down the nose, just above the brows and on the chin. Then I moved on to the eye brows, using the same white Supra colour and a disposable mascara wand to go through the eye brows to make them white too.
On the eyes, I used the bright orange Supra colour as a base to get the brightness she wanted and I put the orange out of the Kryolan brights palette over the Supra colour. I blended the lighter orange in to the crease and then the yellow and mustard colour up to the eye brows. this gave a really nice blended effect on the eyes which I really liked. Over those colours, I got the Illamasqua palette with the gold and copper colour in, I used the copper colour on the outer edge/corner of the eyes and the colour towards the centre and inner corners of the eyes and a little gold on the brow bone too.
On the eye lashes, using a disposable mascara wand I used the white Supra colour to make the lashes go white.
On the lips to create a really nice metallic look I used the copper colour I used on the eyes and in the centre of the lips I used the gold too.
This was the finished look.
I was really happy with how the look came out as I was thinking I wouldn't be able to do it how she wanted it. She said it was exactly what she wanted and I did a really good job. The only thing I would change is the whiteness of the lace, I would do it more whiter and thicker so it stands out a bit more off the red, or I could do the red a less brighter. I think we both made the decision that it would look more effective if we did it more whiter.
I loved the eyes I was really pleased with them and the lips too, the looked really good and I love the products she chose to use too.
